Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn about Mind and Memory Partners.

The journey that led to the creation of Mind and Memory Partners is both professional and deeply personal. Like many families, I have experienced the impact of Alzheimer’s disease firsthand, losing three family members to this devastating illness. Those experiences shaped my understanding of the challenges families face and inspired my commitment to helping others navigate the dementia journey with greater support, dignity, and hope.

Over the past several years, through Dementia Care Solutions of East Tennessee, I have had the privilege of serving individuals living with brain changes and the family members who care for them. Again and again, I witnessed families struggling to find resources and support, reliable information, meaningful activities, and opportunities to connect with others who understand their experience.

I also witnessed something remarkable. When families come together in a supportive environment, isolation begins to fade. Care partners gain confidence and encouragement. Individuals living with cognitive changes find opportunities for joy, purpose, and connection. Communities become more understanding and compassionate.

Mind and Memory Partners was created to build on those experiences and expand access to the programs and support that families need most.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of individuals living with brain changes and the care partners who support them through education, meaningful engagement, and community-based programs that promote dignity, connection, and cognitive health. We are equally committed to increasing awareness of brain health, dementia prevention, and early detection throughout our community.

Today, our programs include Memory Café gatherings, caregiver education programs, and community outreach services for families navigating cognitive change. These programs create opportunities for learning, friendship, social engagement, and hope.

As a newly established nonprofit organization, we are excited to grow these services and reach even more families across East Tennessee. Our vision is simple yet powerful: a community where stigma is replaced with understanding, where cognitive health is valued, and where no individual or caregiver feels alone.

We invite you to join us in making that vision a reality.

Whether through a financial contribution, sponsorship, volunteer service, or simply sharing our mission with others, your support helps provide meaningful programs and resources that improve quality of life for families affected by dementia.

Together, we can create a community of connection, compassion, and support for those living with cognitive change and the people who care for them.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for considering how you can be part of it.

With gratitude,

Kim Warnick, CDP
